On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the Kaufbeuren Air Base invites you to a special musical event. It lifts at 6:15 p.m Ulm Army Music Corps and presents a benefit concert that is both a feast for the ears and an opportunity for good deeds. Admission is free, although voluntary donations are welcome.
The concert takes place in the air base's covered aircraft hangar, so that even the weather won't put a damper on the listeners' plans. Admission is from 5:00 p.m. via the east gate at Hohe Buchleuthe 25, and a shuttle bus will be offered to take visitors comfortably to the event location. Grilled food and cold drinks ensure physical well-being.
A concert with heart
The net proceeds from the evening go to Hospice Association Kaufbeuren Ostallgäu, supported by the association “Helfen macht Schule e.V.”, which is committed to numerous social projects in the region. Under the direction of Major Dominik Koch, the Ulm Army Music Corps, known as the Bundeswehr's musical ambassador, will bring symphonic marches as well as well-known pieces from classical and popular music to the stage.
The Ulm Army Music Corps, which consists of around 50 highly qualified musicians, has prepared for a diverse performance this summer. It performs not only regularly in Germany, but also in an international context and presents a wide repertoire that includes marches, classical music and entertainment. This concert is a wonderful way to give back to the community while enjoying the excellent musicianship of the orchestra.
A highlight for the region
Mayor Holger Albrich has taken over the patronage of this benefit concert, thereby demonstrating the city of Kaufbeuren's commitment to such cultural events. After the event, all proceeds will go to the hospice association, making this event a valuable support for people in need.
