Culinary journey of discovery: Haßberge presents a new recipe book!
A real culinary treat is on the program in the Haßberge district! In 2025, the municipal youth work and regional management are calling on all gourmets and amateur cooks to submit their favorite recipes from the region. The resulting recipe book, which captures the county's diverse flavors, will showcase not only modern non-alcoholic cocktails but also traditional dishes. The call for submissions has already resulted in a colorful collection of sweet and savory recipes, as revista.de reports.
The selection of recipes is in the hands of a competent jury who enthusiastically select the best creations for the book. The official presentation will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. in the Heinrich Thein School in Haßfurt. The students from the nutrition and care department also lent their hands here and tried out all the recipes to contribute to the success of the book.
Culinary samples and take home the recipe book
The book launch will not only be informative, but also tasty: there will be samples of some of the delicious recipes! The event is organized to coincide with class times so that the dishes can be freshly prepared. Anyone interested is warmly invited to take part in the book launch. Registration is required and can be made at regionalmanagement@hassberge.de or by telephone at 09521/27-650. Recipe books will also be available to take home free of charge on site.
For everyone who cannot come in person: The digital recipe book will be available at www.regionalmanagement-hassberge.de/regionales-rezeptbuch/. In addition, the digital version will be expanded to include additional recipes from the population, so that the diversity of the regional cuisine is even better showcased.
A summery treat: alcohol-free strawberry punch
One recipe that could certainly find a special place in the new book is the non-alcoholic strawberry punch, which is a refreshing summer drink for both children and adults. With ingredients such as 1 kg of fresh strawberries, 6 tablespoons of sugar, 8 limes, 1.5 l of mineral water and 1.5 l of lemonade, you can prepare a delicious punch in just 15 minutes. The preparation involves simple steps: The strawberries are washed, sprinkled with sugar and placed in the refrigerator for two hours together with lime halves. Shortly before serving, the sparkling lemonade and mineral water are added.
