Martial arts benefit in Günzburg: Strong commitment to rescue dogs!
The fourth martial arts benefit recently took place under the direction of Erwin Buchner-Scherr at the RehaFit in Günzburg. On this special day, both beginners and experienced martial artists came together to not only expand their skills but also fight for a good cause. Participants had the opportunity to try out different martial arts and learn new techniques.
Among the lecturers were greats such as Gerhard Weitmann, who leads the kickboxing course, and Peter Schiepe, who teaches Kyusho Jutsu. Heidi Weitmann presented Tösö X, while Michael Gleich presented the tricks of Ninjutsu. Daniel Fischer captivated the audience with his all-round combat.
A strong contribution to the rescue dog team
The participation fee of 585 euros went entirely to the rescue dog team of the BRK Günzburg and the Ichenhausen rescue team. This special group, which focuses on searching for missing persons, relies on financial support because all the work is done on a voluntary basis. The donations go towards the training of the rescue dogs as well as the necessary operational materials and clothing for the dog handlers.
“A big thank you to everyone involved!” said a representative of the rescue dog team during the event. “Thanks to the support, we can continue to train and carry out our missions.” The young dogs are trained in the areas of surface, rubble and mantrailing in order to be optimally prepared for the challenges that can arise in real operations.
Strong together for an important mission
The BRK's rapid response team provides tireless service to the community, whether it's searching for missing people or supporting people in need. The need for technical equipment, which is essential for training and operations, entails high costs. That's why every donation is important and helps ensure that the teams can act quickly and effectively in an emergency.
For those interested who would also like to get involved, there is the option of a non-binding trial training session to get an insight into the impressive work of the rescue dogs. With or without your own dog – everyone is welcome to join the voluntary work.
The martial arts benefit has once again proven how much passion there is in the community and how important cohesion is. A good hand for the right thing, there's no other way to say that!
