Fürth 2025: Citizen survey shows overwhelming satisfaction!

In Fürth, this year's 2025 citizen survey was completed with encouraging results. Around 1,000 residents cast their votes, providing important insights into the city's quality of life. Loud Lampertheimer Zeitung It shows that 93 percent of those surveyed really like or enjoy living in Fürth. This is a strong sign of identification with the city, as only 0.4 percent were reluctant to say where they live.

The survey, which is carried out every three years, is a recognized tool for collecting citizens' opinions. In recent years it has been shown that these surveys not only reflect the satisfaction of the population, but also provide the mayor and the city administration with valuable information for future developments.

Positive urban development

What is particularly pleasing is that 78 percent of participants rate the city's development positively. Only 6 percent see negative trends. This corresponds to the most common characteristics that citizens describe as defining Fürth: “worth living”, “city of short distances”, “lots of green” and “cozy”. These attributes underline the attractiveness of the city and speak for future-oriented planning.

Mayor Thomas Jung was pleased with the results of the survey and described them as confirmation of the work of the city administration. He emphasized the need to stabilize positive developments and address critical aspects. One point that is important to those surveyed is investment in infrastructure: 55 percent of participants would like to see school buildings renovated, while just as many would like to see housing construction supported.

Safety and quality of life

Another notable result of the survey is satisfaction with the crime situation, which is at 76 percent and is therefore exceptionally high for large cities. In open answers, citizens called for more commitment in the areas of mobility, education and urban design. These aspects are also of great importance for the future of the city in order to maintain and further expand a high standard of living.

The citizen surveys are not only important for Fürth, but are also in the context of an EU-wide initiative to survey the quality of life in cities. The Survey working group coordinates similar surveys in which numerous cities take part. This not only enables an inter-communal comparison, but also a well-founded database for those responsible. The Fürth citizen survey and its results provide valuable information on further urban development.
