Further training for teachers: The 17 goals for a sustainable future!
What's happening in Waldkirchen? The Waldkirchen Nature Park Environmental Station warmly invites teachers to an exciting training course that revolves around the global sustainability goals. On Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., the exhibitions “17 Goals for a Better World” and “WE 2030” will be presented, providing food for thought on consumer behavior and its global impact. The event lasts about two hours and is organized in collaboration with HNKKJ and the Freyung-Grafenau and Regen state school authorities. Interested teachers from all school types have until Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. to register with the school authority on 09921 - 601316. This training is also registered in the FIBS and is part of the “17 Goals” project, which is supported by “Umweltbildung.Bayern”, and is definitely an aspect that can have a lasting impact on the Bavarian education sector. But there is news not only about further training. Under the motto “Creating movement and awareness for sustainability goals”, the HNKKJ association and other partners are organizing a series of SDG hikes. These events are not only intended to encourage physical exercise, but also to inform interested citizens about topics such as climate protection, sustainable cities and other aspects of environmental education. A highlight is the botanical-ornithological excursion in Breitwiesental on Saturday, May 10, 2025, which has the theme SDG 15 (life on land). These events represent a great opportunity to network with like-minded people and actively contribute to education about sustainable development in the region. In keeping with the sustainability goals, it is hoped that many interested people will take part and thus make their contribution to strengthening awareness and the ability to act on ecological issues in our society.
