Outdoor pool fun has reached a new high in Germany! TUI has created a comprehensive ranking of the 1,400 most popular outdoor pools across the country, based on Google reviews of over 2,000 swimming spots. The Bavarian outdoor pools do particularly well and show that in our beautiful Free State it is not just the landscape that is impressive, but the quality of the bathing is also at the top of the list.
With the Ranking by TUI behind us, we see the two best outdoor pools in Germany shining under the Bavarian sun: the Caprima adventure pool in Dingolfing and the fresch outdoor pool in Freising. Both bathrooms score with excellent value for money and equipment that leaves nothing to be desired.
The top 10 outdoor swimming pools in Germany
A look at the entire top 10 list shows that Bavaria not only trumps the competition, but also has the most of the 25 best outdoor pools. Here are some highlights:

Another interesting finding from the ranking is that the Dantebad in Munich is also among the top ten. The winter warm outdoor pool not only offers summer relaxation, but also attracts many swimming enthusiasts in the Calaustral winter.
Swimming is trendy
Germans' interest in local holiday and excursion destinations remains unbroken. According to the TUI study 29% of Germans are planning their vacation within Germany in 2025 and 27% of them go swimming or bathing at least once a month. The popularity of day trips has increased significantly in recent years, and hardly anyone wants to survive the summer heat without jumping into the cool water.
The Bath Atlas now lists over 3,000 bathing establishments in Germany, including more than 2,400 pure outdoor pools and 401 combination pools. This shows that outdoor pools play an important role in people's leisure activities and offer a wide range of options.
