What's going on in Forchheim? In a few weeks, more precisely from July 25th to August 4th, 2025, the Forchheimer Kellerwald will be transformed into a colorful festival landscape. The Annafest, a highlight in the Franconian event calendar, is celebrating its traditional comeback this year. And that’s been the case since 1840! Particular attention of all visitors will be drawn to the St. Anna's parade on Sunday, July 27, 2025, which will create a great atmosphere at the largest folk festival in the region with around 4,000 participants. This event only takes place every five years and not only attracts locals.

The Kellerwald, a shady oak forest covering an area of ​​20,000 square meters, will be transformed into a place for socializing during the eleven festival days. With over 20 beer cellars offering a wide range of craft beers from the region, there is something for every beer lover. But it's not just beer lovers who get their money's worth, the cuisine also has a lot to offer. Guests can look forward to Franconian specialties and international dishes. And for those who like to be entertained, there are numerous rides available, while a varied music program from hearty to modern ensures the right atmosphere. The beer cellars open daily from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with the festival starting at 1 p.m.

A very special event will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The FT beer tasting at Birgit Hempel's Schindlerkeller, supported by Ulrich Raab, offers the opportunity to taste various Forchheimer Annafest beers. Moderated by Franziska Rieger, the FT's editorial director, the participants can expect an enjoyable afternoon with guests of honor such as the reigning beer queen Karolin Kübel and the former beer queen Melanie Streit as well as the second mayor Udo Schönfelder.
