Discover the dazzling world of dragonflies in the Notzinger Moos!

In the picturesque emergency finger Moos, an exciting event will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, which appeals to nature lovers and hobby ornamental pollologists alike. The Erding local group of the BUND Nature Conservation invites you to search for dragonflies . Under the direction of Sascha Alexander, the participants will be sent on an approximately three -hour journey of discovery through the fascinating living environment of these flight acrobats from 10:00 a.m. The meeting point is the parking lot at the Notzinger Weiher.

The event is aimed at everyone interested who want to learn more about the colorful world of dragonflies. "Bring a binoculars and a lot of patience," recommends Sascha Alexander, who will accompany the group with his knowledge of the dazzling Odonata. Numerous types of dragonflies live in Notzinger Moos, which are not only captivated by their beauty, but also regarding the health of a habitat. Their presence indicates a high structure of the environment, which fascinates nature lovers and scientists alike.

dragonflies in Spotlight

Did you know that dragonflies can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h and even reach heights of 2,000 meters above sea level? These flight acrobats control their wings independently of each other and can even beat Saltos or fly backwards. These extraordinary skills make them a real spectacle of nature. In addition, dragonflies that are harmless to humans are true habitat specialists: their occurrence shows the presence of special features such as unspeakable sources and moor waters.

According to the BUND nature conservation, the participants can actively contribute to species protection themselves. Libelle friends can document their observations via an online portal that was created in cooperation with the Bavarian State Office for the Environment. "This contributes to the protection of these fascinating insects," explains a spokesman for the BUND nature conservation.
