Ebersberg, July 10, 2025 - A serious traffic accident made headlines in the Ebersberg Forest on Thursday. A small van, driven by a 53-year-old woman from Munich, collided head-on with an oncoming car. This accident occurred on state road 2080, between Schwaberwegen and Ebersberg, and resulted in significant personal injury.

According to information from Augsburger Allgemeine and Rosenheim24 Exactly five people were injured in the accident. Three of them suffered serious injuries: the driver of the van, her passenger and the 45-year-old driver of the other vehicle, whose home is in the southern district of Ebersberg. The other two occupants of the van only suffered minor injuries.

Course of the accident and measures taken by the rescue services

The accident was caused by an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver by the 53-year-old, who overtook a truck but was unable to cut back in time. This resulted in a head-on collision with the oncoming vehicle. The material damage is estimated at around 75,000 euros.
