Shocking moment in Erdweg: 17-year-old injured after accident with 80-year-old!

Traffic in Bavaria always makes headlines. This was also the case yesterday on state road 2047 in Erdweg, where there was a serious accident. Loud South German newspaper A 17-year-old moped driver was slightly injured in a turning accident when an 80-year-old driver from Odelzhausen overlooked him. The incident occurred shortly before noon when the driver was driving towards Kleinberghofen and turned left onto state road 2054.

The moped driver, who was heading towards Erdweg, had the right of way. Despite the injuries, he was able to be taken to a clinic in Munich after first aid by the emergency services. The material damage to the vehicles is estimated to be in the lower four-digit range.

A similar incident occurred on March 21, 2025 in the Eichstätt district, when a 17-year-old was also seriously injured while riding her light motorcycle in the municipality of Wellheim.
