ASV Cham is crowned Bavarian champion in Bosseln!
There is a celebration in Cham: The ASV Cham won the Bavarian championship title in Bosseln! The players prevailed at the championship in Kemnath, where only seven teams competed. Among the participants, Straubing and Kemnath were represented with two teams each, while Erlangen, Neutraubling and the Chamer Bossler each sent one team into the race.
The Cham athletes, including Sepp Gruber, Sepp Gmach, Max Daniel, Hans Plötz and Hans Macht, showed all their skills in the competition. Despite the challenges that age brings with it for many Bosslers, they were able to successfully defend their title and return to winning ways once again.
Bosseln championships
Bosseln, a sport similar to curling, is played on smooth surfaces. The aim is to bring the cone-shaped game pieces, the so-called bossels, as close as possible to the target mark, the “stave”. The gameplay is suitable for both hobby players and people with various disabilities, which makes the sport particularly attractive. Like on the side of BVS Bayern As described, Bosseln takes place both indoors and outdoors, and participation is open to anyone with documented physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities.
Another highlight is coming up for the Chamer Bossler in September: the German Championship. Here the athletes have the opportunity to compete at national level and demonstrate their skills. The anticipation for this championship is great and the combination of experience and new enthusiasm promises exciting competitions.
Successes of the past few years
The Chamer Bossler are not only successful in the Bavarian league. They have also been able to shine at national level: the first team from BVRS ASV Cham was able to secure the title of German champions in Bosseln, while the second team took second place in the German championship. In addition, they also achieved an excellent second place at the Bavarian Championship, as detailed on the website ASV Cham can be read.
Overall, the success of the Bossler from Cham shows how important team spirit, practice in training and enjoyment of the game are. It will be exciting to see how the teams will perform in the future and what further successes they may be able to achieve!
