There is a celebration in Cham: The ASV Cham won the Bavarian championship title in Bosseln! The players prevailed at the championship in Kemnath, where only seven teams competed. Among the participants, Straubing and Kemnath were represented with two teams each, while Erlangen, Neutraubling and the Chamer Bossler each sent one team into the race.
The Cham athletes, including Sepp Gruber, Sepp Gmach, Max Daniel, Hans Plötz and Hans Macht, showed all their skills in the competition. Despite the challenges that age brings with it for many Bosslers, they were able to successfully defend their title and return to winning ways once again.
Bosseln championships
Bosseln, a sport similar to curling, is played on smooth surfaces. The aim is to bring the cone-shaped game pieces, the so-called bossels, as close as possible to the target mark, the “stave”. The gameplay is suitable for both hobby players and people with various disabilities, which makes the sport particularly attractive.
