200,000 kilometers: Helvetia Sulz celebrates a major cycling milestone!

What's new from Sulz? The “Helvetia” cycling club has once again done a great job! Since the start of the racing bike season in March, enthusiastic cyclists have been cruising through the beautiful landscape every Sunday and on public holidays. The tours are a real highlight for over 40 participants, consisting of club members and guests aged 16 to 70.

Special tours make the racing bike season even more exciting: On Good Friday we traditionally go to the Rhine Falls, on the ascent around Lake Hallwil and on Whit Monday the tour around Lake Zug is on the program. The last Whit Monday tour, which took place in 2025, was a complete success. Ten cyclists took up the challenge and cycled an impressive 165 kilometers.

A special milestone

With this tour, the participants have already covered 199,956 kilometers since 2017. Next Sunday the magical mark of 200,000 kilometers cycled will be broken! The big event is a testament to the enthusiasm and perseverance of the cycling community in Sulz. The touring schedule has been published online since 2017, and a digital leaderboard shows participants' progress in a touring championship.

The next planned trip leads to Gippingen, where the cycling days take place. A date that hobby drivers and the competition in particular should make a note of. Road cycling in Tuscany

If you are looking for more exciting tours, a cycling trip to southern Tuscany could be just the thing. The region around Monte Amiata, which at 1,738 meters is the highest point in southern Tuscany, offers spectacular landscapes and varied routes. Here cyclists can expect rolling hills, rows of cypress trees and idyllic vineyards. Most of the roads are freshly paved, although some sections still have rough surfaces.

The region between Florence and Rome is an insider tip among racing cyclists. The Monte Amiata volcano is not only geologically exciting, but can also be clearly seen from many points in the area. Despite the traffic - which is usually quite manageable - cycling here is a relaxing experience, especially outside of the busy Sunday afternoons. A paradise for everyone who loves cycling and wants to enjoy nature!

With all these new possibilities, it's no wonder that cycling is finding more and more fans in Bavaria and beyond. So get on your bike and explore the landscape – fun is guaranteed!
