New road closures in Bayreuth: Where you now have to go around!
In Bayreuth, residents are once again faced with some structural challenges because, as the city administration reports, new road closures have been announced. These affect a wide variety of areas of the city, which will certainly cause some detours during heavy traffic. Let's take a closer look at the current changes.
With the ongoing construction work on Eduard-Bayerlein-Straße, the one-way regulation in the direction of Berliner Platz remains in place. The diversions lead via Gutenbergstrasse, the Nordring and “An der Feuerwache”. Anyone coming from the opposite direction must be prepared for the detour via Casselmannstrasse, Hindenburgstrasse, Nordring and also “An der Feuerwache”. This construction project is expected to last until the end of September, so it's important to be patient. As the city administration reports on Bayreuth.de, such measures are necessary to keep the traffic routes in good condition.
Focus on upcoming construction work
Next Monday, July 21st, Oswald-Merz-Straße between Erlanger Straße and Rupprechtstrasse will be completely closed. This measure, which is scheduled to last until July 31, is necessary to lay a water pipe. Although the road will be closed to through traffic, local traffic will still be possible to the construction site. For everyone else, it goes via Bismarckstrasse, Wittelsbacherring and Erlanger Strasse.
At the same time, house connection work is also being carried out on Spitzwegstrasse. This construction work will also begin on July 21st and is expected to be completed by August 8th. During this time, the area between Böcklinstrasse and house numbers 44 to 46 will be declared a one-way street out of the city. A diversion will be set up, so just follow the signs! However, the city has ensured that all necessary information is available and can be read at any time on the construction site portal Baustellen.Bayreuth.de.
Variety of construction site types
Also keep in mind that not all construction sites are the same. The city has defined different categories in its construction site portal. For example, there are traveling construction sites that do not last longer than 24 hours and are usually used for cleaning or small maintenance work. The shortest construction sites are often not even noticed by attentive citizens, while longer-term work such as large construction projects can affect entire parts of the city.
The city administration appeals to all road users to be aware of the current closures and diversions. This way you can definitely avoid one or two nerve bundles during the bypasses! Further information can be found on the city website. So stay tuned and use the resources provided to get through Bayreuth stress-free!
