The German Swimming Championships, which took place in Berlin from June 11th to 15th, 2025, were a complete success for the swimmers of SV Bayreuth. Anna Brugger shone with her final qualification in the 200m butterfly, where she finished third.

The performances of the SV Bayreuth swimmers did not show a downward trend. On the second day, Simon Brugger shone again in the 800m freestyle competition and won with a time of 8:09.70, which earned him the title of German champion. The 400m freestyle was also a successful competition: Simon won both the heat and the final, setting a new personal record of 3:59.89. Anna Brugger returned with a strong seventh place in the 400m freestyle, while Lena Simon impressed in the 200m backstroke and 400m freestyle.
The following days of competition brought more exciting races. Simon Brugger took part in several disciplines and won gold in the 200m freestyle on the third day with a time of 1:51.86 - a best time improved by 2.5 seconds, while Lisa Neukamm's heats in the 200m individual medley and 1500m freestyle also showed that they have the potential for further success.

Wherever you look, medals for the Bavarian Swimming Association shone everywhere. On the last day of the championships, Bavaria was able to win a total of 11 medals, which underlines the strong performances of the athletes. Among the highlights were Felix Brandner from 1. FCN, who won gold in the 100m butterfly and 50m freestyle. The variety of competition results in Berlin clearly shows how well the Bavarian swimmers are doing on the national scene.
