According to a report by Wiesentbote This team consisted of representatives of various organizations, including the Catholic and Protestant churches, as well as the AWO, Caritas and numerous city council groups.

In addition, special programs such as a Caritas parent-child group were launched in 2020 during the pandemic to support families. The AEO's occupancy peaked at 2,800 people in autumn 2022, which once again underlined the urgency of the team's work.

In 2025, the members addressed pressing issues such as unlockable apartments and intensive psychosocial care for residents. The spokesman for the ombuds team and Caritas representative, Peter Ehmann, was grateful for the excellent cooperation with authorities and the support from the city council and the population.
