Construction site chaos in Bad Tölz: roads closed and diversions planned!
In Bad Tölz, the major project to expand the district heating network is entering the next round. As the South German newspaper reported, new construction sites and associated road closures for motorists are expected in the coming weeks. The construction site on Karwendelstraße near Kaufland is due to be completed shortly. At the same time, the traffic lights at the gas station will also be removed, which will ease the traffic situation in this area.
A big change awaits drivers on Kohlstattstrasse, as it will be converted into a one-way street by September. The construction site activity continues on Lenggrieser Straße towards the north. Here, the section after the roundabout up to the S-curve will be closed to through traffic until the beginning of September. During the diversions, the speed limit on Kohlstattstrasse is 30 and there is an absolute ban on stopping.
Detours and pedestrian access
As the Bad Tölz public utility company announces, private cars can turn onto Lenggrieser Straße from Gartenstrasse, while trucks have to be rerouted via “Am Sägebach”. However, pedestrians and pushing cyclists are still allowed to use the construction site on Lenggrieser Straße. There are also short-term disruptions in other parts of Bad Tölz, for example in the northern Dietramszeller Straße, Eichenstraße and Eisenbergerstraße, where disruptions are expected until the end of June.
In the north-east of Tölz, the construction sites on Eisenberger Straße and Am Ellbach/Eichenstraße are almost completed. Anyone who uses Allgaustraße should be prepared for a complete closure until mid or end of July. In addition, in the Karwendel settlement, Schönbergstrasse via Demmeljochstrasse to August-Moralt-Strasse will be developed in several construction phases by the end of September.
Environmentally friendly heat supply
In connection with this construction work, there is also news about heat supply in the region. The Bad Tölz municipal utility is currently working on connecting the east and west heating networks through an innovative crossing of the Isar. Here, around 90 meter long pipes will be laid under the riverbed, which will also lead to traffic disruptions in the area around the Arzbacher Straße/Bockschützstraße intersection. There is currently a partial closure of Arzbacher Straße.
From December 2nd, traffic from Arzbach will be redirected, while the 35-ton pipes are expected to be inserted into the Isar on December 9th. The diversions will be signposted accordingly, and changes in bus traffic are also expected, as lines such as the 311 and the 364 from Bad Tölz/Arzbach to Lenggries will be affected by this measure.
The Bad Tölz public utilities rely on environmentally friendly, highly efficient heating solutions that ensure that heating energy is produced locally and delivered directly to customers. Expansion of heat generation is also planned in the coming years in order to include even more households in the environmentally friendly heat supply.
For anyone interested, there is an expansion map that shows whether their property can be connected to the heating network. The municipal utilities also offer personal consultations, especially for properties on the outskirts of heat planning.
